To date no Socialists are seeking an elected office as far as American Socialist Voter has been informed by their respective parties, political action committees, tendencies.

Could a summit of varied socialists be possible after all the campaigns and conventions of fractions of factions "in the spirit of party"? This is the great experiment of what might lead to having a Unity Section within each respective group before the 2012 presidential campaign.

Reserve time off now, plan to spend time with your extended political family. Let us show the republicans and democrats what real socialism looks like, no "co-op" or "public option" health-care, but true universal cradle to grave coverage. This is at least one issue we all agree on as socialists.

ASV serves the purpose of helping all groups to further greater leftist unity from internal ideologues who have opposed any true events leading to socialism or kept actions limited to "their" responses. ASV realizes and endorses the first step in socialism, for the person (people) to think for themselves out of self-liberation.
